A rooftop garden in the heart of Moscow.

Our task in this garden was to create a living screen of plants that would provide privacy from the neighboring building, as well as to make a space for year-round leisure activities. We used dense hedges made of trimmed Western Thuja and European Linden, and also planted Canadian Irga, Sharp-lobed Maple, various species of juniper, and cotoneaster. An important accent in the design are the clay pots, which we change annually with different plant assortments. The terrace includes a grill for outdoor cooking, and to ensure comfort during rain or intense sun, we installed a canopy sail.
